123 Toriii Gates stand in a row stretching over a length of more than 100m. The shrine was built in 1955 after a divine revelation from the white fox spirit. You can get «goshuin», a red seal possessed by shrines and temples in Japan that serve as proof of your pilgrimage, of a cute fox from the shrine's office.
As you pass through the Torii Gate, you can enjoy the beauty of Ryugu-no-Shiofuku (Dragon Palace Geyser). This is a phenomenon where waves break against a hole in the cliff and the compressed air shoots the seawater up into the air. The sight of seawater shooting upwards resembles a dragon soaring up into the sky. It's a mysterious and spectacular sight when the sunlight falls on the splashing water. Access the shrine by car or taxi.
